JUSTIN FANNON
chaplain
Hi Everyone, I’m Justin!
I am excited to provide spiritual care and emotional support to the Steamboat Springs community through an approach centered around compassion, authenticity, connection and overall well being.
I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains, with a strong connection to outdoor culture, resilience and sense of community, as often found in smaller mountain towns. I currently live and work in both Vail and Steamboat Springs, serving as a Chaplain and clinical researcher. I work closely with individuals navigating addiction, trauma, mood disorders, identity struggles, chronic illness, grief, burnout and major life transitions, while helping to support individuals through some of the most meaningful and difficult moments of their lives. I hold graduate education and training from Emory University, dedicating years to integrating mental health, spirituality and human resilience across various settings; emergency medicine, psychiatric care, hospice and oncology. In addition to my clinical work, I have contributed to multiple published and ongoing research projects focused on addiction recovery, identity development, and spirituality.
I believe mental health, spirituality, physical wellness and purpose are all deeply connected and I am passionate about helping individuals feel more grounded, supported, and connected throughout life’s challenges and transitions.
